As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Bethesda, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a bustling retail and mall environment. Your presence on site will support a welcoming and secure atmosphere for visitors and staff alike. You will utilize strong communication skills to provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to various situations. Day Time Wed 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM Thur 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM Fri 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM Sat 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM Sun 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any irregularities, suspicious activity, or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
• Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to support a positive experience within the retail environment.
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner as part of daily responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
