As a Security Officer - Front Desk Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a major logistics and distribution location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and contractors entering the facility. Your role will involve monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and providing clear communication to all individuals at the front desk. You will use computer or tablet systems to log information and support daily operations while helping to deter security-related incidents through your presence and attention to detail. Exceptional customer service is key, as you will assist with inquiries and provide guidance as needed. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist visitors, employees, and/or vendors in a professional manner at the front desk.
• Monitor access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry to the location.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises as required by site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or visitor logs.
• Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding security-related matters.
• Follow site-specific procedures and protocols, including emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a TSA issued TWIC is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
