As a Security Officer Chemical Access Control Specialist in Gregory, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a chemical or petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves controlling access points, verifying credentials, and providing outstanding customer service to all personnel and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related inquiries and following site-specific procedures.
• Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control equipment to identify and report any unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe for irregularities and help to deter potential security-related concerns.
• Document security-related incidents, access violations, and daily activities in detailed reports for management review.
• Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed during incidents or drills, maintaining clear communication at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
