Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Transportation Site Patrol - Full Time in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a secure environment within a transportation-focused location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $25.34 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations during patrols.
• Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or local law enforcement as required for escalated incidents.
• Assist passengers, employees, and visitors with inquiries and provide directions as needed.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings to help to deter potential security-related threats in the transportation environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
