As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a leading financial institution. This position involves routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location, primarily through driving. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the financial institution to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Carry and maintain control of assigned firearms and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to established procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents and/or investigations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Hold a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
