As a Security Officer - Armed Government Institution - Part Time in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a government location. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a sense of order. This position requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Your responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, responding promptly to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service through clear communication and professionalism. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or breaches.
• Monitor access points and screen individuals entering or exiting the premises according to site policies.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required by site protocols.
• Maintain a visible armed presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and uphold a secure environment for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only, in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
