Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Defense Site - Full Time in Mayodan, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a leading aerospace and defense location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols of the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding swiftly to any potential concerns. This armed position requires a strong sense of professionalism and the ability to communicate clearly with both team members and those on site. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain a visible presence.
• Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with site requirements for an armed post.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Collaborate with site personnel and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related matters specific to an aero and defense environment.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
