As a Security Officer Armed Campus Patrols in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at an educational location. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, remaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry out your duties with professionalism and integrity. You will also interact with staff, students, and visitors, providing excellent customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, reliability, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the educational location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive conduct and provide reassurance to staff, students, and visitors.
• Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports and document observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary.
• Follow all protocols for handling and carrying firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a minimum of 3 years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Hold a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Possess a Level III armed certification if required by Texas state law.
• Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
