Apex Systems has an immediate need for a Security Installation Technician in Norfolk, VA! This will be supporting one of our largest commercial clients in the Hampton Roads Area! Please see below for additional details.

Job Title: Security Installation Technician

Location: Norfolk, VA

Contract Layout: 6 Month Contract to Permanent Hire with the Client

Contract Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 / Hourly Rate

Qualifications

• High School (or GED) minimum requirement
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Electronic Security Installation or related field
• Technical, electrical and/or mechanical knowledge and abilities
• Valid driver's license
• Clean DMV Record
• DCJS (Preferred)

Job Description

• Intermediate Level Technician with the ability to support cabling & device installation effectively on new and existing commercial electronic security installations.
• Take advantage of the opportunity to learn, gain knowledge, and grow your skills from the industry's best.
• Pulling and routing low-voltage cabling (CAT 5/6, coaxial, fiber, etc.).
• Terminating cable and distribution frames.
• Installing support structures.
• Troubleshooting cable infrastructure on commercial, industrial.
• Learn from assisting lead technicians in installations and maintenance of integrated systems based on industry approved guidelines, local codes, and standards.
• Learn to mount and terminate field devices (e.g., Readers, Door Contacts, REXs, Cameras).
• Follow job/manufacturer's schematic wiring diagrams, blueprints, and installation procedures.
• Complete and process required documentation and administrative tasks in a timely fashion.
• Ensure high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication.
