Job Description

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Government Patrol Driver in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will be responsible for conducting unarmed patrols and monitoring assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. This is a primarily driving post, where you will remain visible throughout the property, interact with the public, and provide outstanding customer service. Your role will involve responding to situations as they arise and maintaining a professional presence. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions and information, contributing to a positive experience at the location.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site staff to support security-related objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
