As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will be a key presence at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your role will involve monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing excellent customer service and clear communication while supporting access procedures. This position is a driving post, so a valid driver's license in the job state is required. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Fri 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

Sat 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech, media, or telecom location.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry to help deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help deter potential issues and observe for unusual activity, adjusting to the unique environment of a tech, media, or telecom location.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors, addressing inquiries and providing guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site personnel to report and resolve security-related concerns in accordance with site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in the job state.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Willingness to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
