As a Security Guard - Retail Mall Patrols in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail and mall location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will also have the opportunity to interact with the public, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to assist guests and support the overall experience at the location. Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and directing visitors as needed.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and local authorities as required.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
