Job Description

As a Security Guard - Media Patrols in Durham, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom environment. Your presence will help to deter potential security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service to all employees, visitors, and guests. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible throughout the location, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential risks, adapting to the dynamic environment typical of technology, media, and telecom locations.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns encountered during patrols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of patrols, incidents, and other relevant activities as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
