As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol - Overnight Shift in Vanceboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government setting. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the assigned location, remaining highly visible to help to deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed post, and you will be required to carry and operate a firearm in accordance with all applicable laws and company policies. Additionally, this position requires driving as part of your daily duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. You will interact with staff, visitors, and other stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and/or security-related concerns, reporting and documenting findings as required.
• Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or the public while maintaining a visible presence.
• Follow all site-specific protocols for access control, visitor management, and emergency situations.
• Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as directed during incidents.
• Maintain awareness of the surroundings and communicate any security-related concerns to the appropriate parties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have an active Armed Guard Card or License.
• Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
