As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the premises. By remaining visible and approachable, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Sat 05:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Sun 05:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures at the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and/or emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and granting access to authorized individuals as required by site-specific policies.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, providing assistance and information as needed while maintaining a security-related presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
