Overview

This opportunity is for a School Psychologist serving students from PreK through 12th grade in a K-12 school setting located in Newark, OH. The position is a full academic year contract beginning in August and concluding at the end of June for the school year. The caseload includes approximately 60 students spanning three buildings: a developmentally disabled (DD) school, a non-public school, and a vocational school.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students PreK-12 to identify learning and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and administration to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and provide direct support services.
• Support students in diverse educational settings, including special education, vocational training, and non-public school environments.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to problem-solving and behavioral intervention planning.

Desired Qualifications

• Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist.
• Experience working with a diverse K-12 student population, including students with developmental disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and special education laws.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 60 students across multiple buildings.
