Position Summary:

The Social Workercollaborates with the multidisciplinary team and provides input in thedevelopment of the IHP/IEP for students requiring social work intervention andsupport in the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides individual and group counseling to support students' emotional, behavioral, and social development.

• Collaborates with teachers, administrators, and families to identify and address barriers to student success.

• Connects students and families with community resources, including mental health services, housing support, and crisis intervention.

• Develops and implements intervention plans for at-risk students to improve attendance, academic performance, and behavior.

• Advocates for students’ well-being and ensures compliance with school policies, legal mandates, and ethical standards in social work practice.

Minimum Requirements

• Holds a Professional Educator License with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement as required by state, contract and/or facility

• May be required to have MSW or LCSW per state, contract or facility

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
