Responsibilities:Coordinates, supervises and implements patient care based on competence, professional expertise, knowledge and evidence-based practice. The Registered Nurse is expected to practice autonomously, consistent with professional standards, Nurse Practice Act and hospital job description.
- Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
- Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
- Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
- Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices.
- Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
- Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians, and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at the bedside.
- Recognizes limits of scope of practice, seeks multidisciplinary collaboration, utilizes appropriate resources, and follows chain of command.
- Assumes accountability for decisions made.
- Partners with others to affect change and generate outcomes through knowledge of the patient or situation.

Qualifications:MINIMUM
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
One year recent acute care experience required
Must hold and maintain:
(1) AZ or compact state RN license (RN);
(2) American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS);
and
(3) ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Certification within 6 months of hire (CCP CHEMO).
PREFERRED
BSN
Professional certification in area of specialty
One year recent acute oncology care experience preferred; two-three years in outpatient infusion preferred.
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (CT ACLS).
