This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this department. General Duties

  • Daily processing of third party and patient refunds to bring resolution to accounts in assigned inventory.

Required to research patient accounts in the Epic EMR system with an understanding of payment and write-off transactions:

  • Required to accurately analyze and research patient accounts and submit the necessary adjustments to bring resolution to the account.

Be able to interpret EOB's and R/A's and comprehend coordination of benefits:

  • Must be able to read and interpret explanation of benefits (EOB's) in order to take the necessary steps to bring resolution to the account.

Experience Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in a hospital or physician setting.
  • Experience with analyzing explanation of benefits (EOBs) from various insurance companies/payors.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred: Associates degree or higher with a focus on Accounting.
