This position is crucial to our retail operations. As a Retail Associate, you will engage with both wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and provide tailored recommendations. You are expected to resolve customer concerns efficiently, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction. Staying informed about product features is key, alongside maintaining our store’s visual and quality standards. You will strive to deliver exceptional customer service while consistently achieving sales goals.
The selected individual will work at the West Seattle Store: Store # , located at: 7305 Delridge Way SW, Seattle, WA 98106.
This is a Part-Time Role with a starting pay rate of $22.00 per hour.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Interacting with customers in-store and over the phone, understanding their needs and presenting suitable products and services
- Building profitable relationships with wholesale and retail clientele
- Accurately processing sales transactions according to company policies
- Meeting and surpassing monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals
- Maintaining organized work order files and accurate formulas
- Assisting in product retrieval from the sales floor or warehouse
- Mixing and tinting products when necessary
- Restocking shelves and setting up attractive product displays
- Safeguarding cleanliness and functionality of store equipment
- Loading and unloading delivery trucks as needed
- Assisting with deliveries when required
- Keeping assigned areas well-stocked and visually appealing
- Staying knowledgeable on available products and discussing options with customers
- Adhering to inventory control procedures
- Suggesting improvements for sales strategies
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
- Must have legal authorization to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Availability to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
- High School diploma or GED
- At least one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role
- Experience selling paint and related products
- Familiarity with operating tinting and mixing equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish
