Regional Class A Truck Driver

Position Description

We are excited to announce an immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our dedicated team at Ryder. If you have the right qualifications and experience, we want you on board!

We understand that compensation is a crucial factor for you, and we offer a competitive pay structure. Here's what you can expect:

• Average earnings of $2100 per week.
• Drivers are paid weekly.
• Average work hours: 50+ hours per week.
• Earn $0.72 per mile with an expectation of around 2300 miles weekly.
• Compensation of $36.05 per stop with an average of 8 stops per week.
• Per diem pay of $51.50 per night for overnight trips.
• Receive $15.45 per drop/hook.
• Paid training to ensure your success.
• Work schedule: Monday through Saturday, starting between 3:00 AM - 5:00 AM.

Your routes will cover all states east of Texas to Nebraska, delivering solo to customers in a regional setting. You will operate either a sleeper tractor with inverters or a 26' heavy-duty box truck, utilizing both reefer and flatbed trailers.

We ensure that our trucks are 36 months old or newer and come with 24/7 roadside maintenance. As a company driver, you will have access to over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide for fueling.

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 21.
• Pass a drug test and background check, including verification of prior drug and alcohol use.
• Pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test.
• Must possess appropriate CDL and endorsements for the role.
• Verifiable experience: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret relevant regulations and policies.

Responsibilities:

• Compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
• Identification and mitigation of safety hazards.
• Record-keeping and logs maintenance.
• Loading/unloading freight as required.
• Other assigned duties as necessary.
