When we do everything in service of our patients and caregivers, no detail gets ignored. On our facilities team, your job will be to create a comfortable and safe environment just like our patients have come to expect. You'll gain experience working on a wide range of projects and HVAC systems throughout our facilities, train with the newest technology and receive guidance from fellow caregivers and management.

A caregiver in this position works days, 7:00am3:30pm with rotational weekends and holiday requirements.

Job Details

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Regularly inspect, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems.

• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration/air conditioning systems and other equipment, such as refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, medical and process chillers, cooling equipment, cryogenic freezers and rooftop heating/cooling units.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic controls, solid state microprocessors and system alarms.

• Repair refrigerant leaks and evacuate and adjust refrigerant charges.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• State of Ohio EPA approved certificate for either Type I and Type II or Universal Refrigerant Systems Service

• Three years of experience as a commercial/residential air conditioning refrigeration technician. Military experience as a Machinists Mate, Utilities man, Utilities Equipment Repairer or a similar role will be considered.

• Formal vocational classroom study in refrigeration, air conditioning and/or air handling may substitute up to 1 year of experience.

• Can read electric schematic diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a formal HVAC/Refrigeration training program

• Work experience in a hospital setting

Physical Requirements

• Typical physical demands require full body motion including ability to perform work while bending, stooping, stretching and climbing ladders.

• Requires dexterity and strength sufficient to operate required tools and machinery; typically required to lift and carry machinery and/or equipment weighing 25 to 100 lbs. and/or assist with lifting weights exceeding 100 lbs.

• Requires color acuity sufficient to distinguish color-coded signage and systems.

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
