Requirements: ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac sonography is required, with a preference for four years of experience (less experience also welcomed!)

Job Summary:
As a Radiology Technician, you will perform diagnostic procedures, assessing cardiac structures and hemodynamics following accepted protocols. If you work with both adult and pediatric echocardiography, you will need both Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) Specialty and Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Adult Echocardiography (AE) Specialty, or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) and Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic procedures, accurately record and report results.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to any abnormalities.
- Ensure equipment is functional and that all necessary supplies are maintained.
- Position patients and select appropriate anatomic and technical parameters.
- Comply with all regulatory standards throughout operations.
- Ensure submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS.
- Maintain cleanliness in procedures, storage areas, and departmental spaces.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education: Associate's degree or equivalent experience and education.
Experience: No prior experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Ability to use vision and hearing for patient and procedural monitoring.
- Engage in a range of movements including bending, gripping, and data entry.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- One of the following: Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) - CCI, OR Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) Specialty - ARDMS, OR Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Adult Echocardiography (AE) Specialty - ARDMS
