Baptist Urgent Care is seeking compassionate and skilled Medical Assistants/X-Ray Technologists or Radiology Technologists to join our vibrant healthcare team. We have Full-Time and PRN positions available!
ABOUT BAPTIST URGENT CARE:
Baptist Urgent Care operates 10 locations across Tennessee and Mississippi and is a proud affiliate of Urgent Team, a leading independent provider of urgent and family care in the Southeast. Our centers deliver quality healthcare in a convenient, walk-in format, facilitating treatment for various injuries and illnesses, along with occupational health and wellness care.
Our centers are open seven days a week, providing accessible care during the following hours: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, our centers are recognized as Accredited Care Centers by the Urgent Care Association, emphasizing our dedication to safety, quality, and comprehensive service.
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Medical Assistant/X-Ray Technologist or Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in patient care by greeting patients, managing patient files, and providing essential support to both patients and medical staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Promptly greeting patients in various areas of the facility.
- Keeping patients informed about wait times and the next steps in their care.
- Resolving patient issues and seeking assistance during emergencies.
- Providing timely updates regarding lab and X-ray results.
- Following up with patients on their test results urgently.
- Assisting with patient check-in and check-out processes as needed.
- Documenting patient vital signs and relevant medical history accurately.
- Facilitating patient transfers and aiding in direct procedures under provider supervision.
- Preparing patients for radiologic procedures while ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Maintaining equipment functionality and reporting any issues to the designated manager or provider.
- Completing required documentation related to each patient visit.
- Ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking of examination rooms.
- Following all infection control guidelines and confidentiality policies.
- Executing phlebotomy, injections, and other medical procedures under provider guidance.
WHAT'S REQUIRED?
To qualify for this position, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- A Medical Assistant Certificate or comparable qualification.
- A valid State License for performing X-Rays.
- A current BLS Certification.
