Cherne Contracting is one of Kiewit's oldest districts. This role will require relocation or travel to project sites, for the duration of the project, around the country. Relocation and/or per diem is provided while on the project.

Responsibilities

• Provide system quality control support by conducting inspections and testing on electrical components.
• Support team members in their roles as a program focal point for quality assurance, acting as a liaison with other functional departments.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the project scope and schedule as they relate to his/her specific assignment.
• Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.
• Assist with identifying and reporting rework and non-conforming issue.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with exceptional organization and interpersonal skills.
• At least 8 years in Quality and field inspection, quality auditing, and surveillance for construction. Working knowledge of the specific trade of discipline as assigned, with associated special processes, inspection, and testing techniques.
• Working knowledge of construction industry codes relating to area of expertise (i.e. ACI, AWS, ASME, NEC, etc.)
• Associate degree in engineering technology, construction or quality preferred plus 8 years years' experience in a related construction field or a high school graduate or equivalent (GED) plus 10 years' experience in a related construction field.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures, tracking and reporting, material/equipment quality review and experience reviewing completed work packages to ensure drawings/specifications and client requirements are met.
• Experience with industrial construction preferred.
