Punch Press Operator

Join our team as a Punch Press Operator where you will play a key role in operating and setting up punch presses. Your expertise in troubleshooting work orders and ensuring product accuracy and efficiency will be highly valued. You will collaborate with others in the department, assist engineering in calculating flat layouts, and ensure quality checks throughout all stages of the process.

Responsibilities:

• Operate punch press and assist with setup.
• Troubleshoot work orders and products to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist others within the department.
• Provide training and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with engineering to calculate flat layouts.
• Conduct quality checks throughout all stages of the process.
• Provide first and last pieces for quality inspection.

Essential Skills:

• Experience with machine operation, particularly punch press, press brake, and stamping.
• Ability to perform setup and operation of machinery.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers.
• 6 months to a year of prior machine operation experience in a metal fabrication setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with brake press, drill press, and stamping.
• Ability to read work orders in English and conduct quality checks.
• Experience with cycle runs.

Work Environment:

Work in a metal stamping production environment. The facility is louder due to stamping machines, providing an active and engaging work atmosphere.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
