Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to work at a facility in Williamsburg, VA. These are registry positions with our company. Pay Rate: $170/hour *1099

Assignment:

• Available to start immediately
• 3-6 month assignment with the potential to extend
• Full-time, 40 hour a week commitment with assigned office hours of Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm
• Not approved for overtime
• No weekends, no holidays, no on-call duty
• Requires a 30-day notice to terminate the contract before the end of the assignment

Qualifications:

• Autonomous license
• Experience working with an acute adult inpatient population
• Experience serving as Head of the Treatment Team
• Comfortable working on an admissions unit with rapid turnover
• Experience conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and forensic evaluations for competency restoration
• Willing to provide cross coverage to other units if needed
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary treatment team
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required

Inpatient Adult Population:

• Acute, adult, inpatient wards (male & female)
• Forensic, NGRI, Civil patients
• Long-term length of stay
• Caseload: 40 patients per provider
• Admissions/Discharges: 0-3 per month
• PCP coverage provided
• Full complement of interdisciplinary team members
