Property Insurance Attorney

Overview

I am currently working with an international law firm , who are actively looking to recruit an attorney to join their property insurance group .

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the lead Partners across the firm's international practice group.
• Manage and draft coverage opinions.
• Litigate insurance coverage matters, as well as bad faith cases.
• Draft motions, handle discovery requests, take depositions, and in court proceedings.
• Focus on first-party insurance disputes.
• This role will involve significant client interaction and development.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of property insurance experience.
• Licensed to practice in Illinois.
• Experience working with insurance companies is desired, but not required.
• Insurance defense or insurance coverage experience is beneficial.
• Strong academic background.
• Excellent writing and case management skills.

The company is offering

• Anticipated Base Pay range (dependent on experience): $160k-$190k per annum.
• Full time employees will be eligible to participate in the Firm’s benefits package. This includes 401(k) with discretionary profit-sharing, medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance, subsidized gym memberships and Employee Assistance Program.
