Overview
The Ambulatory Services Project Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of strategic and operational projects in support of clinical and administrative outpatient specialty services teams. These projects include short-term, long-term, and ongoing initiatives that engage diverse, system-wide stakeholders and deliverables tied to financial, quality, and/or strategic outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Project Communication: Develop communication plans (oral and written) for each initiative with assigned teams, including updates and status reports; develop and implement stakeholder satisfaction tools; keep executives informed of progress and barriers; facilitate team discussions and provide detailed feedback and follow-through; listen and provide feedback to end user suggestions and issues.
- Project Management: Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget; assist in defining project scope and objectives with relevant stakeholders; ensure resource availability and allocation; develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress; manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs; measure project performance; report and escalate to management as needed; perform risk management; create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Internal and External Relations: Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution; manage client and stakeholder relationships; establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Organizational Accountabilities: Support organizational commitment and teamwork; anticipate and respond to customer needs; demonstrate collaborative and respectful behavior; contribute to a positive work environment; identify opportunities to improve clinical and administrative processes; ensure safety and effective decision-making; communicate accurately and clearly; promote safety for patients, families, visitors and co-workers.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- Minimum Work Experience: Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare Management or Finance (Preferred)
- 5 Years Related and Progressive Experience (Required)
- 3 years Project Management experience (Required)
- 3 years Experience in writing/communications, healthcare administration and non-profit management (Preferred)
- Required Skills/Knowledge: Familiarity with electronic database research tools; understanding of management information systems and technology; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel; knowledge of Project Management principles, documents and plans; strong facilitation and analytical skills; ability to deliver results on time and on budget; ability to quickly grasp project elements; experience running large and small-scale projects; stakeholder management.
- Personal Skills: Strong drive and resilience; action- and result-oriented; ability to build relationships at all levels; willingness to see things through; team player; ability to influence and work through others; work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines; inspirational, enthusiastic, and accountable.
