Apex Systems is immediately hiring for a Network Communications Engineer with a large government client supporting the Navy & Marine Corps at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC! Position requires a currently active, DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance. Location: 100% on-site at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC Schedule: M-F, Core Business Hours (8-hour shifts) Pay: $46.75 - $49.75/hour (depending upon experience) Will receive accrual of Paid Federal Sick Leave + Paid Federal Holidays. Contract: Long-term rolling

Overview: Evaluate communication hardware and software, as well as troubleshoot Local Area Networks/Base Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/BAN/WAN), and other network related problems. Administer LAN/BAN/WANs. Schedule conversions and cutovers. Coordinate with all responsible users and sites. Specialized experience in the performance and configuration of networks as well as the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks.

Requirements: Active, DoD-issued Secret security clearance CompTIA Security+ CE Certification Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) OR ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment 8 years of relevant experience (education can be used in lieu of experience Masters and 2 years, Bachelors and 4 years, Associates and 6 years)
