Project Manager, Facilities II

Overview

Project Manager, Facilities II role at Sutter Health—Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF). The position represents Sutter Health on design and construction projects including new development, facility expansion, renovation, and retrofitting. Responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and reporting on design and construction activities in accordance with the project controls requirements as outlined in the Process & Controls Manual (PCM). Administers consultant and construction agreements and supports the delivery of small projects with light to moderate complexity on time and on budget. Manages relationships with Sutter Health affiliates for those projects.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sutter Health on design and construction projects including new development, facility expansion, renovation, and retrofitting.
• Coordinate, monitor, and report on design and construction activities aligned with PCM requirements.
• Administer consultant and construction agreements.
• Deliver the scope of small projects with light to moderate complexity on time and on budget.
• Manage relationships with Sutter Health affiliates for related projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management or other closely related field. Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
• 2 years of recent relevant experience.
• Skills and knowledge: familiarity with the Last Planner System and Lean Construction; ability to build reliable cost estimates and schedules for small projects; ability to assess risks to scope, budget, and schedule for small projects; familiarity with health care construction codes, space programming, cost analysis, approval processes, construction methods, and contract implementation; familiarity with state and local building approval processes (HCAI, CDPH, OSFM, TJC, counties/cities); competence in project management techniques and software; strong verbal and written communication skills; client relationship management skills; appreciation of team culture in team performance.

Pay Range: $57.69 to $86.53 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for geographic differential. Compensation takes into account factors including experience, education, skills, licensure, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is one piece of the total rewards program.
