Project Engineer - Structural - Heavy Civil

An industry-leading construction firm is seeking a Project Engineer - Structural -Heavy Civil to join a large-scale data center build near Amarillo, TX. This role is 100% onsite and offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in a mission-critical project with high visibility and career growth potential.
The Project Engineer will be a front-line technical resource, collaborating with design teams, trade contractors, and field crews to ensure quality, compliance, and smooth execution across structural, CSA, and MEP scopes. This is a hands-on position requiring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive coordination in the field.
Key Responsibilities:

• Support construction teams by overseeing shop drawings, submittals, and field documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  
• Partner with site leadership to manage daily construction activities, scheduling, and technical coordination across multiple trades.
  
• Lead quality control efforts, conduct inspections, and work with teams to resolve issues in real-time.
  
• Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to align project deliverables with design intent and construction requirements.
  

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of construction field engineering or QA/QC experience (structural, CSA, or heavy civil preferred).
  
• Strong ability to review drawings, submittals, and specifications while identifying constructability issues.
  
• Proficiency with BIM/VDC coordination and project documentation processes.
  
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
  

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $87K - $151K (DOE)
  
• Bonus: 2 annual bonuses (individual + company) plus SAUs (stock appreciation units)
  
• Per Diem: $160/day (non-taxable, begins once onsite; no company vehicle or gas card)
