This is a hybrid position near ATL Distribution Center.

Job Summary: As the Project Engineer Processing Concepts, you will be responsible for the requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of multiple projects. Multiple projects may be in progress at a time and can cover a range of technologies and impacted operational processes. This role is inherently cross-functional. You will work closely with internal teams - stakeholders, business owners, procurement, developers, and architects and external team vendors, technology providers, and solution integrators to design, build, and implement new solutions for projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute Perfect Parcel concept projects from design through implementation.
• Develop deep expertise in DHL eCommerce digital platforms, including APIs, business applications, and integration to backend applications that support operations and customer-facing processes.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on these products, ensuring they meet business needs and drive customer satisfaction.
• Engage business experts to build lists of required functionalities.
• Utilize creativity and knowledge of operations to design workflow solutions for the business.
• Work closely with development, IT, network development, engineering, operations, and other parts of the business to develop and execute concept implementation plans.
• Provide clear business requirements to specification team and assist in documentation within Confluence and Jira.
• Design and build process workflows, interface layouts, and wireframes to assist developers.
• Facilitate the creation of technical specifications for hardware and software solutions.
• Establish project acceptance criteria and conduct formal vendor selection (RFPs).
• Prepare use cases and ROI analysis for projects.
• Work with procurement and finance to track and control project spending.
• Perform stakeholder analysis and engage in stakeholder meetings.
• Analyze result data from project solution pilots.
• Gather user feedback on deployed solutions.
• Help build new technical documentation to support process changes.
• Support prioritization of the development and new functionality, considering the operational impact, project benefit, and overall Perfect Parcel roadmap.
• Maintain vendor relationships and scan the market for new solutions and technologies.
• Evaluate and pilot new technology to find potential improvements to current business processes.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related degree required.
• 4 to 5 years of industry experience and related work experience required.
• Project Management, Scrum Master certification or experience preferred.
• Six sigma green belt or DHL First Choice Bronze Master preferred.
• Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast pace, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas stakeholders and various departments.

Requirements/Skills:

• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
• Process Design, Visio or similar skills required.
• High attention to detail, good follow-through, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
• Experience in coordinating product development cycles and software development schedules in the release of applications to production.
• Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, and the development cycle a plus.
• Experience managing storyboards, wireframe development, and potential prototyping.
• Expertise in creating written reports, proposals, processes, and project documentation.
• Understanding of basic UI/UX design concepts.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to exercise independent judgment and work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Demands:

• Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting.
• Regular sitting at workstation for 25 75% of the work shift.
• Frequent standing and walking.
• Travel required <25%.
