The BoatUS Foundation for Boating Safety and Clean Water is an innovative non-profit, promoting safe, clean and responsible boating. The Foundation provides educational outreach directly to boaters and supports partner organizations nationwide.
Job Summary: The BoatUS Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced project administrator to join our nonprofit organization. In this position, you will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and delivering various boating safety and environmental initiatives and programs. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem solver who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the environment and the boating industry, and contribute to positive change.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Foundation team to develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines and deliverables for grant-funded and/or mission related projects.
- Projects include: Boating safety initiatives, Online course and hands-on boat training, Environmental education.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, partners, and community members to ensure successful project component execution and implementation.
- Lead regular check-ins, project meetings and progress updates.
- Track metrics and key performance indicators.
- Prepare and submit project reports and evaluations to funders and leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of related work experience in lieu of degree.
- A degree, certificate or experience in project management. Project Management Professional certification or equivalent is a plus but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively to overcome challenges.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle unexpected situations and make informed decisions.
Skills Required:
- Strong ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects with clear milestones and deliverables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, assess risks, and propose effective solutions.
- Ability to think critically and creatively in complex and challenging situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal staff, community partners and vendors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey project updates, requirements, and expectations to stakeholders at all levels. Also, possess active listening skills to understand and address stakeholders' concerns and feedback.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with a wide range of technologies, software, and tools. Current systems include (experience with these should be noted but are not required): Salesforce Sales, Service and Marketing Clouds, Monday.com. Ability to quickly learn and leverage new technologies as needed.
- A growth mindset and a passion for staying up to date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and methodologies.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
- Ability to balance competing demands and deliver high-quality results.
