Program Security Assistant

V2X's National Security Solutions (NSS) has an immediate opportunity for a Program Security Assistant (PSA) with a background in Special Access Program (SAP) security disciplines, facilitation, and administration. The PSA will make documented recommendations/assessments, and develop written plans, policies, and procedures that comply with DoD, Navy, and unit level directive, instructions, regulations, and manuals as identified by the government. Responsibilities The PSA must be able to complete all assigned tasks within timelines established in the applicable documents and/or as set forth by the Program Security Manager. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Perform assigned SAP and SCI (if required) security functions and responsibilities in support of the program office.
  • Provide SAP and SCI (if required) meeting security support, including physical and personnel access security.
  • Provide oversight and management of security contract close out documentation.
  • Process personnel security actions.
  • Provide SAP and SCI (if required) Physical Security support to include site reviews and facility close outs.
  • Support the PSO in maintaining 100 percent accurate facility management documentation to include a detailed spreadsheet reflecting the status of documents.
  • Support the PSO in collecting any missing documentation via data call memorandums to applicable facilities.
  • Assist with review and maintenance of OPSEC plans, SOPs, SSPs, ATOs, FFCs, and any additional security related documentation as delegated by the PSO.
  • Provide an initial Security review of Assured File Transfer (AFT) requests.
  • Support the coordination of visit requests.
  • Support the updating, validating, and maintaining the Navy's database for facility accreditation and access records.
  • Create a program indoctrination briefing and a program SETA plan.
  • Support the PSO in the generation of Security Classification Guides, security classification reviews, and program OPSEC plans.
  • Preparing for and assisting in facility and PMO site security inspections to include sending inspection notifications and onsite reviews under the oversight of the PSO.
  • Provide security related support for tasking's as needed by the PSM/DPSM/PSO.
  • Coordinate with the PSM/DPSM/PSO on any security issues and status's daily and during biweekly meetings.
  • Travel - It is anticipated that the PSA may be required to travel in support of program requirements

Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certifications: Bachelor degree from an accredited university or at least one year SAP experience directly in program security functions (CPSO, PSO, PSR, PSA, GSSO), or equivalent years of experience performing industrial, general, or physical security disciplines. TS/SCI clearance with favorable SSBI completed and adjudicated within the past five (5) years. Experience: Minimum one-year Special Access Program (SAP) or general security support experience. Four (4) years' experience in a DoD Security environment (Military, Govt Civilian, or DoD Contractor) Skills & Technology Used: Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
