Professor of Research Surgery (Cardiothoracic)

Overview

Professor of Research Surgery (Cardiothoracic) – Keck School of Medicine, Los Angeles, California. USC Department of Surgery is recruiting at the level of Professor of Research (non-Tenure track) for candidates with a Ph.D., M.D., and/or equivalent degree in Molecular & Cell Biology with an emphasis in Cancer biology and Immunology.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with an existing team of investigators on the Health Sciences Campus of the University of Southern California.
• Support the goals of the team of investigators and contribute to the development of an independent research program.
• Submit independent and/or collaborative grant proposals as a principal investigator.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D., and/or equivalent degree in Molecular & Cell Biology with emphasis in Cancer biology and Immunology.
• Advanced investigative-research skills with prior research experience in Epigenetics, Epigenomics, Bioinformatics, Cancer, Lung Biology and/or Molecular Biology.
• Publication and/or funding records in these fields.
• Strong interest in teaching and basic science research.
