Production Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor responsible for overseeing 18-20 team members on the production floor. The ideal candidate should have a strong experience in dairy manufacturing equipment and food packaging systems, with expertise in Form-Fill-Seal Vacuum Packaging Machines. The role involves recommending improvements in production methods and equipment performance, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and managing employee performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 18-20 people on the production floor.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures, and recommend improvements in standard operating procedures and working conditions.
• Manage performance, drive accountability, and recognize employees based on job descriptions, classifications, and performance metrics such as safety, quality, performance, and cost.
• Act as a resource for all SQF-related policy and procedure inquiries.
• Find solutions to improve working conditions and motivate the workforce.
• Supply and maintain necessary materials, tools, and inventory levels for required objectives and tasks.
• Enforce policies and procedures to meet or exceed quality specifications and safety standards.
• Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments of equipment, ensuring food safety.
• Responsible for production schedules, labor use, and worker hour requirements for job assignments and make recommendations for continuous improvements.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in Production Supervision in a Food Manufacturing facility.
• 3+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement.
• 3+ years of ERP/MRP knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, including Root Cause Analysis.
• Strong production management and supervision skills.

Work Environment

Work in a GMP environment operates during 1st shift hours from 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Adherence to GMP standards is required, including wearing a hair net, beard net, safety glasses, and steel toe shoes.

This is a Permanent position based out of Middleton, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $85,000.00/yr. - Direct Hire- $70-$85k annually
