Position Summary

As a PRN Mammography Technician, you will deliver high-quality mammography services in a respectful and efficient manner, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our patients.

Position Requirements

Formal Education / Training:

• Radiologic Technology diploma or degree from an accredited institution.
• Registry eligible or registered in Mammography to perform studies independently.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Willingness to cross-train in diagnostic radiology and bone density.

Work Experience:

• Preferred: At least one year of work experience after graduation; however, we are open to training the right candidate.

Equipment and Skills Training:

• Training will be provided on specific equipment and processes used at Williamson Medical Center.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to handle multifunctional tasks, operate equipment, assist patients, and physically manage patient movement.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, communicate clearly, and make sound judgment decisions in urgent situations.
• Emotional stability and psychological health are essential for positive interactions with patients and staff.

Performance Standards

1. Verify patient identification before conducting mammography exams.
2. Inquire about the possibility of pregnancy for female patients aged 12-50, documenting as required.
3. Communicate warmly and positively with patients to ensure comfort during exams.
4. Verify accuracy of physician orders prior to procedures.
5. Understand and comply with FDA regulations on mammography.
6. Maintain patient dignity by ensuring appropriate coverage during procedures.
7. Seek opportunities to assist in varied areas during downtime to maximize productivity.
8. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked working environment.
9. Consistently deliver high-quality imaging and welcome constructive feedback.
10. Adhere to attendance policies with punctual and consistent attendance.
11. Be proactive in volunteering for overtime or additional shifts when needed.
12. Adapt to new departmental procedures promptly.
