Principal Cloud Security Architect (GCP knowledge)

Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is seeking a Principal Cloud Security Architect to join their team. As a Principal Cloud Security Architect, you will support various engineering initiatives within the security team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which are essential for success in this role.

Job Details

Location: Onsite 4 days a week in one of the following locations: Greenwood Village, CO; Charlotte, NC; or St. Louis, MO

Pay Range: $85-95/hour based on experience

Responsibilities

1. Define cloud security vision and develop multi-year strategic plans.
2. Design and evaluate secure software and infrastructure architectures in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
3. Influence cloud adoption efforts to ensure scalable, resilient, and compliant security patterns.
4. Lead the development of security best practices and secure deployment standards for GCP workloads.
5. Mentor junior engineers and promote security knowledge across teams.

Qualifications

1. 7-10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and application security.
2. At least 1 year of proven technical expertise in GCP security.
3. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
