Job Description

As an Armed Security Guard in Lutz, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a leading utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as they arise, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Fri: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Sat: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Sun: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity or potential hazards within the utility location and report findings according to site protocols.
• Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors in a professional manner while maintaining a visible presence.
• Assist with access control and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
• Document incidents and observations in detailed reports as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A valid Armed Guard Card or License is required for armed positions.
• A valid Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving, in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
