Polishing Operator

Stainless Steel Polisher

We are seeking experienced polishers skilled in stainless steel polishing and buffing for food and pharmaceutical grade finishes. This role requires the use of hand and power tools to achieve precise finishes, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and the ability to visually identify defects.

Responsibilities

• Perform grinding, polishing, and buffing of stainless-steel parts to meet strict pharmaceutical industry standards.
• Work with materials featuring unusual recesses, radii, and contours.
• Operate and maintain polishing tools and equipment safely and precisely.
• Select appropriate methods, dressing, and abrasives for each task.
• Work in accordance with detailed drawings and instructions.
• Lift and carry parts of various sizes, shapes, and weights, up to 50 lbs.

Essential Skills

• Experience in metal finishing and polishing.
• Proficiency with grinding and buffing techniques.
• Ability to use hand and power tools for polishing food and pharmaceutical grade finishes.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in electropolishing or electroplating is highly preferred.
• Capability to perform inspection and ensure quality standards are met.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and following precise instructions.

Work in a temperature-controlled environment on a 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM first shift. The workplace fosters a family-like atmosphere with flexibility in scheduling.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Beloit, Illinois.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
