Plumbing Apprentice

Join our team as a Plumbing Apprentice, where you will gain hands-on experience in the installation of pipes, including PVC and PEX, through roughing techniques. Your role will involve cutting pipes, engaging in light carpentry, and loading and unloading materials. You will also help maintain a clean work environment by tidying up the work area and truck as needed. This position is perfect for someone with mechanical aptitude and a strong willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Install pipes using roughing techniques with materials such as PVC and PEX.
• Cut pipes to required specifications.
• Perform light carpentry tasks as needed.
• Load and unload materials efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and truck.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop mechanical skills.

Essential Skills

• Experience in plumbing and pipe fitting.
• Knowledge in sewer repair and piping.
• Ability to handle PVC, copper, and PEX pipes.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from heights or in small crawl spaces.

Work Environment

Work outdoors on new construction sites. The shift is from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule. Enjoy a supportive and dynamic work environment with opportunities to learn and grow.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cheektowaga, New York.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
