Position Available: Center Medical Specialist

We are seeking EMT Basic, EMT Advanced, Paramedic, LVN / LPN, or RN to become part of our dedicated team at a Plasma Donation Center. Note: Salary is based on licensure and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical examinations and gather medical history to assess donor suitability.
• Foster strong relationships with donors to ensure their satisfaction during the donation process.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and staff information.
• Identify potential hazards and promote donor safety.
• Educate donors about health risks and provide guidance on test results as needed.
• Manage donor injuries and adverse reactions effectively.
• Assess medical history and medications to confirm ongoing donor eligibility.
• Support training of new employees.
• Administer the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program.

Qualifications:

Must be educated and currently licensed/certified in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT, along with a High School Diploma or GED. Current CPR certification is mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform duties while standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Comfortable with bending, twisting, and hand movements.
• Capable of lifting light weights (up to 50lbs) and handling precise movements.
• Good hearing and vision (correctable) are essential.
• Ability to work independently following written or verbal instructions.

Work is conducted in a plasma donation center setting, which may involve exposure to biological fluids and laboratory equipment. Personal protective equipment will be provided as necessary.
