Emergency Department Paramedic - PRN

Join Our Team as an Emergency Department Paramedic!

As a certified and licensed paramedic, you will play a vital role in our hospital's Emergency Department's patient care team. Collaborating closely with nursing staff, you will provide crucial assistance under the direct clinical supervision of a licensed physician.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate patient monitoring equipment and record vital data, including rhythm strips and 12 lead EKGs.
• Perform phlebotomy, collect laboratory specimens, and insert saline locks, Foley catheters, and nasogastric tubes as directed.
• Assist in comprehensive patient care including obtaining vital signs and facilitating patient hygiene.
• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and stocked patient environment while managing all supplies and equipment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in setting up and performing delegated procedures.
• Transport patients safely using appropriate monitoring and transport equipment.

Your adherence to hospital policies and procedures is essential. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Valid Driver’s License in the state of employment
• EMT-P License in the state of employment
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
