Key Responsibilities of the Pilates Instructor:

• Design safe and effective Pilates programs according to clients specific needs.
• Guides members through initial and progressive Pilates sessions.
• Insure proper, up-to-date and safe procedures are used in the teaching of all clients.
• Inspects Pilates apparatus and areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Performs light custodial duties such as wipes down equipment, monitors cleanliness in pool area, spa, fitness center and locker rooms.
• Enforces all rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Assist in day-to-day operations of the Pilates Studio.
• Works closely with Pilates Manager and Pilates Team Members.

Minimum Qualifications for the Pilates Instructor:

• Pilates Instructor Comprehensive Certification (preferably the NPCP, National Pilates Certification Program or any Comprehensive Pilates Certification).
• CPR/AED Certification.
• A minimum of two (2) years experience in teaching Pilates, including Pilates programming and group Pilates training.
• Must be able to establish safe and sound Pilates programs determined by governing bodies.
• Must have excellent member service skills.
• Participates in continuing education seminars and workshops.

Other Qualifications:

• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Experience and exposure with wide variety of other exercise modalities, equipment, instructional techniques, injury prevention, fitness/wellness counseling and developing/interpreting personalized Pilates/wellness regimens.
• Must be able to read and speak English in order to perform the duties of the position.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Associates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Compensation: $15.00/hourly + $30.00/hour commission
