Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training in orthopedic sports medicine to join our esteemed team. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons, primary care sports medicine physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, concussion specialists, and physician assistants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive sports medicine care, including injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation
- Participate in game coverage, training room consultations, and travel with affiliated athletic teams
- Engage in community-based orthopedic care
- Contribute to academic teaching and research initiatives in collaboration with the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix
Qualifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Eligible for the CAQ in Orthopedic Sports Medicine
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine is required
- Experience in caring for high-level athletic programs or professional teams is preferred
- A commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and research
Facilities and Resources:
- State-of-the-art facilities, including the Banner Sports Medicine High Performance Center in Scottsdale, offering performance evaluation, leading-edge treatments, and surgical procedures designed to minimize injuries and advance recovery
- Access to a biomechanics lab utilizing motion-capture technology for real-time analysis of athletic performance across various sports
- Collaboration with Arizona Athletics to provide enhanced sports medicine care models for student-athletes
