Overview

Seeking BE/BC General Anesthesiologist to join a practice in Ann Arbor, MI. The group serves a 500+ bed teaching hospital located on a 340-acre campus in Ann Arbor and has been named a Top 100 Hospital. There are 150 house officers and affiliated residents and fellows from the University of Michigan and other academic centers.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: 7a to 3:30p, Monday through Friday
• Team coverage: 12–14 doctors per day depending on schedule; one OB call and one first call per day
• Provide care across a broad case mix with emphasis on general anesthesia
• Maintain very robust technical support and collaborate with OR teams
• Clinical areas include: Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho, General Surgery, OB, Urology, Endoscopy, and other surgical services

Qualifications

• Be/BC General Anesthesiologist
• Cardiac TEE certification required (6 or more)

Schedule & Call

• Be prepared for generalist and back-up call: 1–2 days per month (primary), 6–7 days per month as back-up call (beeper/home)
• OB weekend call: 24 hours; Weekends: 5–6 CRNAs on staff
