Assignment Type:

Contract - 12 months (with potential to extend)

Schedule: 3 days/week, 4 hours/day

Estimated: 5 blood draws per day

Job Description:

We are Looking for a compassionate and skilled Phlebotomist to support a 24-month research study focused on Alzheimer's disease, funded by a research grant. This is a part-time contract role for an initial 12-month assignment, with the potential for renewal.

The Phlebotomist will work on-site at the Neuroscience Building in Newark, NJ, performing blood draws and engaging with older adult research participants. The ideal candidate is experienced, patient, and comfortable working in a clinical research setting with elderly individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  Perform venipuncture and blood collection procedures with accuracy and care

  Ensure proper labeling, handling, and transportation of specimens

  Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for each participant

  Support the research team in adhering to study protocols and timelines

• n

  Engage with participants in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner

• n

  Follow all clinical safety, privacy, and compliance guidelines

Qualifications:

• n

  Certified Phlebotomist with at least 1-2 years of experience

  n

• n

  Previous experience working with elderly or cognitively impaired patients preferred

  n

• n

  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  n

• n

  Detail-oriented, punctual, and reliable

  n
n
• n

  Comfortable working in a research or academic setting

  n

• n

  Retired nurses or professionals with related clinical experience are encouraged to apply

  Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
