Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician position available at St Thomas Rutherford, Murfreesboro, TN. PTCB or NHA License is required.

Responsibilities

Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist. Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems, prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department, prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds, repackage bulk medications, receive and store incoming supplies, and triage incoming calls to serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient, and health professionals.

Requirements

Licensure/certification/registration required: Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 months of hire date or job transfer date. One or more of the following required: Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
