For more than 40 years, Vca Animal Care Center Of Sonoma County has provided exceptional emergency and specialty care to the pets of our community. As a 24-hour hospital, we pride ourselves on teamwork, compassion, and a positive, supportive workplace culture.

We are currently seeking part-time Patient Care Assistants to join our dedicated team. This position pays $18.50/hr - $20.00/hr, dependent on experience, education, certification, etc.

What You'll Do

As a Patient Care Assistant, you play a vital role in ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, clients, and staff. Responsibilities include:

• Running laundry throughout the shift
• Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming)
• Emptying trash, recycling, and compost
• Cleaning and restocking exam rooms
• Cleaning cages and kennels
• Stocking supplies in common areas

The ideal candidate:

• Works well on a team and independently
• Is compassionate, reliable, and eager to learn
• Has strong communication skills
• Understands the importance of cleanliness in a hospital setting
• Can stand for most of a shift and lift up to 40 lbs
• Is flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 hospital schedule
